JerBear Buddy, Don`t pay any attention to my Dad! That old coot has snorted way too much Prague #1. Must have mistook it for something else, I guess. We tolerate him and his BS here and he does know a thing or 2 about making sausage. Trouble seems to be that he is jealous about the fact that I`m man...

Has anyone else ever had a similar experience? Any thoughts from anyone? Hey there Mr King! You are in good company. Many, if not most of us have gone through that ordeal with the grinder/stuffer, myself included. I did have advice against it but money was a concern. Since it was a new venture, the...

I love my F. Dick. Worth every penny. Hey Jer, Welcome to the forum! I assume that you are referring to a very high quality, German made, kitchen knife by Friedrich Dick. These products are rated right up there with Wusterhof's and Henckel Zwillings. To my limited knowledge even the revered Japanes...

Oh Bearded One! I was raised on pawnhaus. It is the best breakfast food in the world. We use wheat buds in preference to corn meal but it's still delish! We usually have a smoked turkey and ham offering for Easter. That is accompanied by, "warm German Potato Salad," Bloomin' Onions,' Angel...

We are just finishing up a prime rib supper. Chuckwagon`s Spicy BBQ Mustard was a huge hit. I usually serve a wasabi/mustard sauce but opted to try Dad's version. The group has declared it a dead heat. Wasabi powder is a very convenient addition to soups, stews sausage etc. It is basically...

OUTSTANDING job John! I am totally impressed with the way in which you have approached this. So many of us bring old/bad habits to the process. You have chosen the right way. Discard the baggage and follow the path of truth. Jeez, now I'm sounding religious. In a way I guess this is a religion. "St...

Not sure where that came from but in my experience, anyone will fit under a bed if her husband comes home unexpectedly.

Welcome to all the new members. Come on in, don't be shy. I remember my first post and how difficult it was to even introduce myself. I was, (still am) a stone cold rookie but the moderators and members here have been very cordial and helpful. Jeez, we even got old Chuckwagon out from under ...

Ross ol` Pal, I sure hope you intend to generate the smoke from "outside the box." Cedar is only slightly less volatile than Av Gas. One stray spark and you will be rebuilding. And; even though the wood may be very well cured, it will likely still impart a flavour to the contents. Anyway, good luck ...
