Guess authentic sausage makers will have to go the way of moonshiners in the US. Get out to the backwoods, so the government can't save us from ourselves and turn us into criminals.

I'm wishing for CW to do his version of a George Burns imitation. Over 100 YO, smoking a cigar and still got his act together. Thanks, Buddy and as you can see, your input is very valuable and much appreciated. Be safe.

Sausagemaker makes a spray to coat your equipment to prevent rust on the parts. Needs to be washed off before being used again. Works good. I'm sure there are similar products out there. Good luck.

Cleaning smokers

Hello everyone. Question I have is, how often do you clean a stainless steel smoker and is it necessary. I've got a 20 lb. stainless steel smoker and gunk builds up in it. Is it necessary to clean all these byproducts or can you let it ride. This was a result of technical difficulties- aka, my screw...

Hey 101. My only experience with the fruit and vodka was when I was in college. Buddies father brought out Oxheart cherries soaked in vodka. He warned everyone about eating them. Guy ate the cherries and 1/2 hr. later he TRIED to get up. Once we got him off the floor, the point was well taken. I've ...

CW, I just call it mushroom soup. It was featured on one of our TV shows from a restaurant but some of the ingredients needed to be fine tuned for my tastes. They called it Hungarian Mushroom soup. Ross, FYI, it freezes well and have had it and given it to friends after several months in the freezer...

Thanks for your input Ray. We don't have them here but they're coming. I use Off during early bow season so the deer ticks don't get on me when processing.

Saw and for those that have hogs in their area, here's a few websites you may want to check out. txferalhogs.pdf, Texasboars.com. We don't have them in NYS, so far, nor do I want them. You need to kill 70% of the population every year, just to control them.
