John,

This is the link Gray Goat sent to me. We are going to make the frame heavier so that it can be towed on 13" wheels. My son and other friends will share use of it so mobility is a big consideraton.

Here is another good resource;

There are plenty of options on the web and possible near your home for add on smoke generators.

Good luck!

So far my idea is to fabricate a fire box that would sit off to the side of the cabinet and some sort of tube (like a dryer exhaust vent) that would allow the smoke to cool and vent its way into the cabinet. quote]

Here is a link to some home-built smoke generators which may benefit you.

There is a caterer here in this town that has an old fuel tank set up as a cooker and a steel wood stove mounted beside it for making smoke and heat when he is not cooking over coals.

Steelchef,
Thanks for all the info on making a Cold Smoker modification for my smoker. I did find one on the internet that looked easy and somewhat inexpensive to make that involves using a 3 inch aluminum pipe and some fence post caps. http://www.instructables.com/id/Homebre ... Generator/

If I go with this design I will probably modify it so it would mount to the outside of my cabinet similar to the Ventura model video link that you supplied info on. I liked that concept allot but one thing concerned me was that they used a plastic air line attached to metal that would (in my mind) generate a significant amount of heat which could begin to melt that air line. So at the very least (in my mind) that would need to be modified to a copper or aluminum airline.

I found this site http://www.smokedaddyinc.com/ with sells what I am talking about but they seem to be very Pricey (around $200.00 US) and I figure that I could duplicate it for under $60.00 US. I plan on doing more research on the costs in the next couple of days and would be willing to post costs, material sources etc. if anyone would be interested.
