During my time in the US I have been stocking up on various sausage supplies from the Sausagemaker and Butcher & Packer. Big savings on shipping and brokerage fees. Finally got something I have wanted for a long time, a steel mesh glove. A bit pricey for $75 bucks for one glove, but will be great when filleting those slippery salmon and boning out pork shoulders. Made in Slovakia, looks like decent quality.

Chris, don't worry about the price. The first time you save a finger... it will be worth every cent! Just ask an old piano playin' sausage grinder. You'll also find that handling the meat becomes much easier.
I carry a sharpening steel on my belt and a "gloved" left hand. Smart move pal.

Best Wishes

Very good investment. Where I work I require all folks using a trim knife to have a cut resistant glove on the non cutting hand. Since instituting that rule our cut accidents have decreased drastically.
