Bob,

I had my wife get a big loaf of Italian bread, and it was a VERY soft loaf.
My Hobart 410 cut it perfectly, and I mean perfectly! Not a single issue at all, razor sharp cut!

My wife couldnt believe it! We tried to cut the same loaf with a nice serrated bread knife...miserable!

The slicer cuts it perfectly. And I am sure the harder the bread the better the cut, but to be honest with you the slicer cuts so well it is scary!

I can post a few pics if you want to see boring sliced bread!

Suffice to say we will be cutting our bread on the 410 from now on for sure!
I think my wife was happier than even I was!

Cuts to perfection.

Hope that helps!

Thanks Jason!
I have a small slicer with a serrated blade that works well on bread and smaller dia. salami.
I know a smooth blade works better on cheese and meats, but I was unsure about bread.
