Champion Juicer for emulsifying hotdogs

I saw this on YouTube, where the Champion Juicer used with the blank plate is used to emulsify meat for hotdogs, and I tried it this weekend.

It works brilliantly!

I ground 50/50 beef and pork through a 1/4" plate, seasoned, then fed through the 1/8" plate, then through the Champion.

The result was a perfect emulsion for hotdogs.

Stuffed into lamb casings, smoked, simmered and rested they have perfect mouth feel.

Very pleased with this approach.

I heard of this juicer and was going to buy it... Still want to buy but my wife is vetoed this attempt - at least for now: her argument is "you already have too many toys for your hobby". Really? It's never too many toys! :-) This juicer is pretty expensive if you buy it new (around $350 or so) but you can find it on craiglist for $40-100 used.... Looks like the juicer does really good job.

I bought mine used for $35, then had to add the blank plate which I picked up on Amazon. All of the parts can be sourced if you pick one up that's missing something. The same design has been in production since the 1950s.

I also used it for making tomato sauce based on another youtube video. I added the tomato screen for this, also from Amazon. It worked brilliantly and I put up 16 pints of tomato sauce and 10 pints of tomato water.

It's also a nice juicer :)

You have to tell your wife what I tell my wife, he who dies with the most toys wins!

Will any cold press juicer work the same? There's an Aobosi cold press on CL for $40. Don't have a food processor and this looks easier to use (no ice?). Thanks

Bob-
Its pretty hard to tell if it would work, the champion has a strong 1/3 horse motor and an optional blank plate.
Best way is to just try it

Has anyone tried the LEM Big Bite Juicer attachment on their LEM grinder to make emulsified sausage?
