"Wurst" Friday.

Post by fatboyz » Sun Apr 12, 2020 02:03

With the current situation I had to deplete my sausage supply to resupply my two girls families and a young family here that is laid off. I used 80 pounds of moose and deer trim from the fall, 22 pounds of lean pork, and 10 pounds of pork belly trim. I started Thursday night and finished packaging this morning. I made 28 pounds of maple breakfast sausage, 25 pounds of weisswurst, 25 pounds of bratwurst, 25 pounds of garlic sausage, Kubassa, and 25 pounds of smoked paprika, jalapeño, chilli cheese smokies. My friend and I also bought two hogs this morning from a local producer and slaughtered them. I'll be butchering tomorrow and making lard and chicharones.

It's very kind of you, that you shared your supply of goodies to those in need. God Bless you. Be safe, stay home and we'll get thru this.
