The high cost of sundries

Post by ssorllih » Mon Dec 10, 2012 20:11

I was looking at the price of meat hooks and trying to find a way to beat the cost. This is what I have come up with: Image Yard sale stainless steel fork and five minutes with some handtools.

Actually it is working out quite well. She offered me three other odd pieces without jabbing them into my back.

All joking aside, it's a pretty nifty gizmo. I have bought 2 bacon racks, and I LOST them! Will probably be bending some forks Ross style pretty soon.

Small details, bend the tines before you spread them, sharpen them with a file, the center of the hook should be over the center of the tines.

Mate, I HAVE to know, how do you lose bacon racks ?
Found no reference in Mariansky's book about this phenomenon.

Mate, I totally sympathize with Cabo. Many of my essentials simply "disappear" on a regular basis. Only trained gerontologists can properly explain this common phenomenon.

Ha ha ha! How indeed does one lose bacon racks???? Redzed, I'm afraid you've nailed it.

Meanwhile, I'm searching for the right medicine to help me remember. (Grandpa, how come you always fall down when you drink your medicine??)

Hey Ross,
I was lookin` over that nasty lookin` meat hook you contrived and then it dawned on me... that must be the precise tool that my doctor used on my last hemorrhoidectomy.
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it probably needs more time on the grill! :D
