Salami Netting

Post by LOUSANTELLO » Wed May 18, 2016 11:50

OK guys, you were right. Now I am ready to net my meats. I am done with the tying. I need to net 2 different sizes. Beef middles for soppressata and bungs for coppa, bresaola and soppressa. Butchers packer is a little confusing. They have different funnels and netting based on sizes in mm. Can someone help me on what I need without overbuying? Thanks

Lou-

Butcher& Packer has a chart with the netting size and netting stuffer to use.

I use their #10 for middles ...and a PVC "stuffer"

Redzed has one of the stainless stuffer funnels

I ordered #10 netting and # 16 netting along with their small stainless stuffer, which they claim should work for 14-20. It will be interesting whether I can get the #10 on the stuffer tube. We will see

You shouldn't have a problem, the netting from them stretches quite a bit- I have no problem getting it on a 3" pvc tube.
