They are not that easy to find. My Chinese cutter is not working right now and there is no one on the Island that can fix it.

Ed, I bought a bowl cutter through a commercial auction site in the states....PCI Auctions, there is another one named RCI Auctions. I don't think either work in CA, however there is this one, https://restaurantauctions.ca/ I know it is far from Alberta but it is a start. The key is to know what you want, be willing to go on a field trip to get it as shipping can be exorbitant, be willing to clean something dirtier than you might imagine, and be willing to jump on it when it comes up. Paid well under $1000, but I waited and pounced

Great advice from Scogar, and let me add to search Marketplace and Craigslist. I picked mine on Craigslist for $200, cleaned it up, sourced a drive belt and added new cutter blades and it works great. I watch local auction sites which always have stuff I'd want, but there is a lot more competition I think, driving the price up.
