They are pushing the limits pretty hard these days and doing some mind blowing stuff. I've always been skeptical of ice because you might climb something one day and the next day it may be gone but it does look like fun and I'm sure you are pretty adept at reading the weather and the ice conditions. Its always nice to spend time in the mountains because it seems to invigorate the soul and give you a better perspective on life in general.

The weather here stays pretty well cold from Nov. to march so ice delaminating and coming off rarely happens except on really early season mixed routes. The real danger with ice climbing is Avalanche! Wil Gadd has some good articles and pod casts on ice.
