I was just curious what kind of pH tester other members have and How do you like it? I would like to purchase a pH tester that will test meat, cheese, wine and the soil in my garden. Is there a unit that will do all these functions?
Thanks again everyone!!!

I was looking at these to models and they look identical except for the color? Even the specification's are identical except for the length and weight. I wonder if I could use the meat unit for soil? What do you guys think?

You could use that meter in testing soft food products such as cheese and meat and liquids. But you really have to be careful when testing your wine not to hit any hard surfaces with the tip. So if you want to use it to test the TA in wine where you have to swish the wine sample as you add the reagent, it's kind of risky. I have the Apera tester with one electrode for meat and another for liquids for testing my grape musts and wine. I would not recommend testing soil with any of these meters. The electrode tips are very delicate and the abrasion from soil testing will end the life of the electrode PDQ.

But you are right those two do look alike, why don't you call Hanna and ask them. I would be interested in finding out what they say.
